MIRINEMIRINE (43° 38.5'N; 15° 57'E), cove in the south-easternmost part of Sibenski kanal. Approach: Landmarks: the stone cross at the E entrance point and the high old wall extending from the head of the cove across Vela ostrica peninsula. In the middle of the entrance is a shoal (6.8 m) and at the entrance to the adjoining cove a dangerous reef hardly covered by the sea. Mooring: The anchorage is in the middle of the cove (depth about 7 m). The cove is a good all-round shelter and can be used for a longer stay. Sights: Old wall (68m high, built in 15 C against Turkish raids) running across Ostrica peninsula.
