Three marinas on the Croatian Adriatic awarded the top prizes

Internet website skippertips specialised for nautical tourism enthusiasts has reported that among strong competition from other marinas in the Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro, marina in Vrsar was voted the best marina on the eastern Adriatic coast in 2008 by the foreign boaters and visitors. The second is Kastela near Split, and the ACI marina in Vodice is third.
Boaters appraised cleanliness and environmental protection, environment and facilities, courtesy of staff and cost of the marina and restaurant. Marina in Vrsar has won in three out of four of the above-mentioned four categories, hence winning the first place.
The Vrsar marina complex is in its present form, with a reception and new toilets, in function since 2001, is one of the smaller marinas on the Adriatic The capacity is 200 berths and 40 dry docks. Naturally protected by the island of Sveti Juraj and it can accommodate yachts up to 50 meters in length and offers a range of additional services for nautical tourism enthusiasts, such as boat charter, purchase and rental of equipment, restaurant, coffee bar and more.
This survey included 1400 respondents, of which 45 percent of Germans, 40 percent of Austrians and 10 percent of Switzerland.
