Punat, Croatia - as a starting port for yacht charter
Punat is located in the sheltered bay on the Krk Island. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the Kvarner islands and the Northern Adriatic.

If you wish to rent a boat from Punat, a several dozen yachts, sailboats and motor boats are at your disposal. You are able to hire a boat from Punat marina which is the oldest marina on the Adriatic.
If the offer of the boats in Punat is unsatisfactory for you, , the nearby nautical centres are Pula, Rovinj, Cres, Rab and Mali Losinj. Altogether, these towns offer several hundred yacht charter options.
We recommend you visit:
- Franciscan monastery on the island of Kosljun in Puntarskoj harbour.
- Explore the island of Cres, visit the vilage of Bali and its eco park and the Tramontana forest, coastal town Valun and Veli Losinj, and the beach near the town of Lubenice.
- Visit Volosko and Opatija in the north Kvarner Bay. We recommend a tour of the entire Liburnija Riviera from the sea, from Volosko to Moscenicka Draga. At the night time it is very interesting to explore the strip of sea water from Volosko to Lovran.

- By plane: airport Rijeka, which is about 30 km from Punat, airports Zagreb (Croatia), Pula (Croatia), Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Trieste (Italy)
- By car: over the Krk Bridge
- Frequent bus lines connect the island of Krk with the rest of Croatia.
